Guesty's Smart Views can be found on the Tasks, Listings and Reservations tabs. The goal of Smart Views is to provide Guesty's reporting features in an optimized user interface with features such as data filtering, data sorting, saved views, export and sharing capabilities.
How do I browse existing views?
To browse existing views, click on the small arrow next to the view’s name to open the view’s list. You can use the search bar to find views quickly and easily.
How do I create a new view?
Step 1: Set the Filters
In order to create a new view, it is recommended to choose an existing view that is similar to your desired view and use the icon in the filters selection bar to add more filters. Clicking an existing filter opens the ‘Save Filter’ dialog that enables you to edit or delete this filter.
The ‘Add Filter’ dialog allows you to browse all filters, browse filters by category, or use the free text search to find filters quickly and easily.
Step 2: Choose and order the columns
Columns can be added or removed by opening the column selector on the top right. Rearranging columns is easy, just drag the column by its header and drop it in the right place. In order to sort the table by a certain column, click the column header name. Click it again to sort in the opposite order (ascending/descending).
Note: Every time a change is made in a certain view, a star sign will appear next to the view’s name and you’ll have the option to save this edited view or to save a copy of it (with another name). Predefined views are fixed, edited versions of them can be saved only as a copy.
How do I manage an existing view?
Only custom views (not predefined) can be deleted and renamed. Click on the settings button and you’ll have an option to rename and delete the view. Please note that deleted views cannot be restored.
How do I export a view?
Clicking on the CSV button in the upper right section will generate an email containing the view’s data in a CSV format. The email will be sent to the logged-in user’s email. You can edit your email address under Account -> My profile.
How do I share a view?
Sharing a view can be done by clicking on the share button on the upper right section. Sharing a view is available in 2 ways: “As a report”, and “As a link”.
As a report
This share option will send an email containing a snapshot of the current view. For now, recipients can only be contacts from your Guesty phone book. To add recipients, start typing a contact's name and select it from the drop down menu. A report can be sent once or can be scheduled to be sent on specific days and hours. Scheduled reports can be managed by clicking on the settings button and going to the ‘Shared Reports’ tab.
As a link
This share option will send an email containing a live link that shows the updated state of the view. Opening the link doesn’t require any credentials. For now, recipients can only be contacts from your Guesty phone book.To add recipients, start typing a contact's name and select it from the drop down menu.Shared links can be managed by clicking on the settings button and and going to the ‘Shared Links’ tab.
Note: sharing as a link is only available for non predefined views in the reservations page.
