The Smart Calendar Rules can help the property manager to manage his listings availability in an automated way while targeting a larger audience at the same time.
One property, a few listings
It is possible to have different Listings for different parts of the same property.
For our example, a property manager has a two-story house, he listed the 1st floor, the 2nd floor, and the entire house separately.
Now, he can create a rule so that when someone books "Entire House", this will automatically block the same dates for the listings "1st Floor" and "2nd Floor".
In this case, the rules you should create will be:
- When "1st Floor" is booked, block "Entire House" (and the other way around, with "reverse rule")
- When "2nd Floor" is booked, block "Entire House" (and the other way around, with "reverse rule")
If the Smart Rule links 2 listings, A and B, a reservation on listing A will block the calendar for listing B. Manually blocking the calendar for listing A will NOT block the calendar for listing B.
Same property, different audience
In order to target a larger audience, a property manager can set up a Smart Calendar Rule in order to have a few listings for the same property (e.g a property suitable for 4 guests can also be listed separately as a property that is great for 2).
