Auto Payments rules
Guesty's Auto Payments feature allows you to easily set your payment policy per listing. Guesty will automatically create and activate these payments for each reservation.
Auto Payments rules will not apply to Airbnb and MisterB&B reservations.
Setting up Auto Payments
Once you connected your account to Stripe, you will have the option to set Auto Payments rules for each listing (allowing for different rules for each listing).
In order to add Auto Payments:
- Go the relevant Listing > Automation > Auto Payments
- Click Add
- choose between adding a Payment rule /Authorization hold rule
There is no limit on the charging amount when setting up an Auto Payment rule. However, Guesty will limit the sum of all auto payments to the reservation's total payout.
You can choose to use guest's credit card for the automated payment. However, if no credit card exists Guesty will create a cash automated payment, although we do not collect cash payments.
Auto Payment setup example
In this example, we have set up an auto payment to collect 50% of the guest charge upon confirmation.
1 The first step is to open the listing and click Automation
2 Click AutoPayments
3 Click Add
4 Click Payment
5 Click the payment that was created
6 Click Check in
7 Click Confirmation
8 Click Rest of payment
9 Click %
10 Fill in the % amount you would like to charge
11 Click Save
12 Click Yes and You're done!

Canceling Auto Payments rules
You can easily cancel auto payment rules by clicking on the red trash icon on the right side of each specific rule and clicking Save.
Upon rule cancelation, you will be asked whether to cancel the future payments created for existing reservations. Click Yes to cancel all future payments created for existing reservations by the canceled rule.
