Guesty’s coupon codes allow property managers to generate customized discounts and distributed, in order to increase reservations through their personal Booking Website.

Coupon codes can only be generated as percentage discounts.

Creating a new coupon 

  1. In order to create new coupons, you must set up your Booking Website first.

    Coupons are created per booking website and not per listing.

  2. Go to Account > System settings > Websites > Edit Website > Coupons.
  3. Create a coupon by choosing a unique code to share with guests, give it an internal name for organizational purposes and specify the discount percentage.

    Discount percentage is only applied to the accommodation fare.

  4. Click Create Coupon.


    Currently only numbers and letters are supported for coupons. Coupons containing special characters (such as & or %) will not be redeemable by the guest, even though the coupon is created successfully.

  5. Once you have created your first coupon, don’t forget to turn on Allow Coupons availability for your Booking Website. This can be done under your booking website configurations.



Redeeming a coupon on your website

Just head over to your Booking Website, choose a listing, pick the dates and click Book. On the last page before the actual booking, guests will be able to apply the coupon.

Coupons can be used for instant bookings and also for inquiries.



Managing coupons

All the coupons for your booking website are listed under Account > System settings > Websites > Edit Website > Coupons. Each coupon has a status, a number of uses by your guests and how many times a coupon was applied to a reservation or inquiry.

The statuses are:

  • Active (redeemable by guests if conditions apply)
  • Expired
  • Disabled (manually)

Canceled reservations and inquiries do count as a coupon use.


Editing and disabling coupons

You can disable the coupon if you no longer want guests to use it.

For traceability purposes, coupon codes cannot be deleted, and a coupon code and its discount value cannot be changed.

Disabling a coupon 

  1. Go to Account > System settings > Websites > Edit Website > Coupons.
  2. Click on the coupon you would like to disable.
  3. Click on the Active toggle button
  4. Once the coupon is disabled is should read Disabled and guests cannot redeem it.
